Cooling Performance

With a rated cooling capacity of 24,000 Btu/h, the Bryant Legacy 2 Ton air conditioner is a single-stage central air conditioning unit.

This product utilises a Microtube Technology™ refrigeration system. We would recommend that you hire a specialist to assess your home before installing a unit of this type. Installing a central AC that is too strong, or too weak, will simply end up costing you more.

Efficiency & Certifications

While not Energy Star Certified, this unit does carry with it a UL verification, which is useful.

With a SEER of 14, and an EER of 11 – 12, this unit is relatively efficient. However, it is incredibly difficult to effectively estimate the efficiency of central AC units. This is due to the changing of seasons, and differing locations etc.

Convenience

With a dBA of 76, this unit is also relatively quiet, and won’t annoy the neighbours. Supporting Housewise™ the Legacy line can be controlled from your smartphone via Wi-Fi. Alternately, this unit may be hooked up to a conventional thermostat.

Whether you want that sleek feel of control from your mobile device, or a more basic system of AC control, the Legacy line from Bryant may have the unit for you.

Design

The Bryant Legacy 2 Ton Air Conditioner comes in a galvanised steel casing. A baked-on powder paint coating prevents rusting or corrosion of the unit. The tonnage rating of this product stands at 2 tons.

While not necessarily required with the Legacy line of Bryant products, we do recommend that you hire a certified Bryant dealer to install this unit.

If not, always make sure that you are working with a competent, and experienced contractor to install your central AC. Otherwise, it will undoubtedly cost you.

Help & Support

The Legacy line is backed by a 10-year limited parts warranty, however this warranty is shortened to 5 years if the owner fails to register their product within the first 90 days. Contact Bryant for more details regarding warranty policy.

As far as customer service is involved, the website includes a comprehensive FAQ section, a troubleshooter page, downloadable user manuals, as well as an in-depth ‘Contact Us’ page.

Bryant clients also benefit from a wide network of Bryant dealers, which is useful in the case of requiring professional assistance.

Summary

In conclusion, the Bryant Legacy 2 Ton air conditioner is a decent AC unit. Quiet, reliable, and durable, this is a basic central AC that will carry out its duties without all of the unnecessary gadgetry in the way.

As always, we strongly recommend that our readers conduct their own additional research into this device before purchase.
